“His work will be shown for what it
is,
because the Day will bring it to
light.
It will be revealed with fire,
and the fire will test the quality of
each man’s work.”
(1 Corinthians 3:13 NIV)
I keep a
collection of my God Sightings books on hand to give away as hostess or
birthday gifts. My personal supply was running low, so I ordered a handful of
each publication. The book copies rested on my desk waiting for me to autograph
and put them with the others in a portable bin.
Several
weeks after receiving the books I decided to sign them. They were all in fine condition
except one. The publisher had bound the book backwards! When I opened the
cover, the last page was staring at me. The first page was at the end of the
book. My husband and I chuckled and commented this was something new and definitely
different.
I debated
whether to return the mixed-up book, or keep it for posterity. I decided to put
it on my bookshelf, but report it to Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing. A nice
lady with a foreign accent answered my call. She was very helpful, documented
my concern, and promised to pass it on to the publications department. I didn’t
want any uninspected books to be shipped to customers.
As we
ended the call, she said, “I think I will read this book. Have a blessed day!”
Little did I know I was conversing with a sister in Christ. I wished her well
and thanked God for reminding me that quality in everything I do is important,
even in how I handle phone conversations that could be painful and make me
uneasy.
I will put
quality in everything I do for God is in control. I hope you will, too!
