October 11 - Showers of Blessings

“Sow for yourselves righteousness,

reap the fruit of unfailing love,

and break up your unplowed ground;

for it is time to seek the Lord,

until he comes and showers righteousness on you.”

(Hosea 10:12 NIV)

Daniel Webster Whittle wrote the popular hymn “Showers of Blessings”

There shall be showers of blessing:
  This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
  Sent from the Savior above.

There shall be showers of blessing,
  If we but trust and obey.

I will welcome showers of blessings sent by my heavenly Father. I hope you will, too!
