“Woe to those who go down to Egypt for
help,
who rely on horses,
who trust in the multitude of their
chariots
and in the great strength of their
horsemen,
but do not look to the Holy One of
Israel,
or seek help from the Lord.”

My pastor expertly split our congregation open with the sword of the Word and let all our spiritual pride spill out. Peter was his example of someone close to Jesus who promised to stay close and failed. I will seek help only from the Lord. I hope you will, too!
